What is Password Generator?

Pick a length and the kinds of characters you want, or switch to passphrase mode for a few random words from EFF's short wordlist. Every character and word is drawn without bias from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, and each password is guaranteed to include every character set you switch on. The entropy readout shows how much guessing your settings demand, so you can see what extra length or one more word buys you. It all runs on your device: only your settings are remembered, and generated passwords are never stored, logged or sent anywhere.

Entropy measures the guessing work for someone who knows these exact settings: each extra bit doubles it.

Characters to include

Made on this device by your browser's cryptographic random number generator. Only your settings are saved here; passwords are never stored, logged or sent.
