Mentria is a small creative studio that builds software the do-it-yourself way: made by hand, shipped when it's ready, and answering to nobody but the people who use it. The site you're reading is a progressive web app. Everything inside it, from the tools and games to the AI, runs on the device in front of you. There is no backend pinging your prompts to a server farm. There are no trackers measuring how long you stared at the homepage.
We make tools that respect you: notes, timers, a QR scanner, an authenticator, an invoice maker, a shelf of games, AI chat that runs entirely in your browser, an infinite radio, and a daily feed of visual explainers. No accounts, no email capture, no cookie banner. If something here is useful to you, it stays useful when your wifi cuts out, and it stays useful five years from now, when whichever startup you signed up to has pivoted, lapsed, or vanished.

What you make here is stored only in this browser. A backup is one encrypted file that you keep, so clearing the browser or changing phones doesn't take your work with it.
In a backup
Notes, invoices, AI chats, tool and layout settings, game saves, learning progress and the packs you imported, TOTP accounts, your Mentria identity and Comms rooms, the Finance ledger (still locked with its own passphrase), radio likes, and installed extensions with their data, such as Story Studio decks and images.
Not in a backup
Downloaded AI models and offline copies of pages and decks, which download again when you need them. Your photo, video and music library, its thumbnails and where you stopped watching, which rebuild when you add your folders again. Folder access, scheduled notifications and “unlock on this device” settings, which only work on the device that made them.

Encrypted backup
Choose a passphrase and download one encrypted file with everything listed under “In a backup”. Lose the passphrase and the file can't be opened.
That's a large backup. Making it can take a few minutes, and restoring it on a phone with little free memory may fail.
Restore
Pick a backup file and enter its passphrase. You'll see what it holds before anything changes, and nothing on this device is replaced without asking you.

Pair two devices with a one-time code. Data syncs peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted. Our relay never sees your data.
