What is Music Player?
Open some songs or a whole folder and Mentria builds a library from their tags: songs, albums with cover art, and artists, with search. Play in order or shuffle, repeat, line songs up in a queue, and keep playlists that you can export as M3U. Lock-screen and headphone controls work, a sleep timer fades the music out, and on a computer a mini player can float above other windows. It reads MP3, AAC, FLAC, Ogg, Opus and WAV; Apple Lossless and AIFF play on Apple devices. Nothing is uploaded: the player reads files straight from your device.

On iPhone, choose songs or a folder from the Files app each visit. Songs in Apple Music can't be opened. Mentria keeps song details and covers, so the same files load faster next time.
On iPhone, if the next song doesn't start while the lock screen is on, press play there to restart it. For long listening, a Safari tab is more reliable than the home-screen app.
