What is Decibel Meter?

Point your phone or laptop mic at whatever is making noise and this reads the level in decibels, live — with a session min, average and peak, plus a ladder of everyday sounds for context. Phone microphones aren't calibrated instruments, so the numbers are good estimates for comparing rooms, not legal measurements. Nothing is recorded: the sound is analysed on your device, frame by frame, and never leaves it.

This uses your microphone to read the sound level in real time. Mic processing like noise suppression is switched off, so the meter hears the room as it really is.
